Full Time Chemistry Lecturer Position at the University of Washington Tacoma

The University of Washington -Tacoma is currently searching for a full-time chemistry lecturer. This is a full-time renewable position with an appointment term of one to five years and a nine-month service period. The position will begin on September 16, 2017 and will require a Master’s degree or higher, or foreign equivalent, in chemistry, chemical education, environmental science/engineering, chemical engineering or a related field.There are opportunities to teach research courses, including STEM education research. UWT is a great place to work! The successful candidate will have prior experience teaching laboratory-based general and introductory chemistry courses at the university/college level. The candidate will be expected primarily to: –present lecture and laboratory courses in introductory and general chemistry; teach students from diverse racial/ethnic and cultural populations; integrate high impact practices into course designs; and contribute service to the division, school, and institution. The potential of the candidate to teach upper division courses in their area of expertise as well as interdisciplinary non-majors courses will also be taken under consideration.
