The 26th IUPAC International Conference on Chemistry Education, ICCE 2020, will be held in Cape Town, South Africa, from 13-17 July 2020. We invite abstracts for oral submissions, posters, workshops or symposia.
The theme for the conference is a “2020 vision of Chemistry Education” which was inspired by the vision of Nelson Mandela who said:
“Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.”
ICCE 2020 is a forum where South African and International chemistry educators can build connections between research and practice and provides an opportunity to build partnerships between local and international educators to provide a legacy on which to build the education system envisaged by Nelson Mandela.
Programme themes for the conference include:
Curriculum and systems thinking in chemistry education
Context and diversity in chemistry education
Teacher education, development and learning communities
Practical work in chemistry
Linking chemistry to industry
Chemistry and the environment
Modelling in the teaching of chemistry
Authors submitting abstracts for oral presentations will be asked to indicate an interest in developing their presentation into a paper to be published in a special issue of the IUPAC Journal, Chemistry Teacher International, https://www.degruyter.com/view/j/cti
