The Early Career Chemistry Education Scholars (ECCES) committee is excited to announce our activities during the upcoming BCCE at Purdue University! This committee was previously called the Younger Chemistry Education Scholars Committee (YCES). We have changed our name to omit “younger” to be more inclusive of anyone in their early Chem Ed career. We invite graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and pre-tenure faculty members to join us. More information about the committee can be found here: https://bit.ly/3Pp3Ekz Birds of a Feather Networking Event Mon, Aug 1 from 1-2PM in WALC B058. The Early Career Chemistry Education Scholars (ECCES) committee welcomes graduate students, postdocs, and pre-tenure faculty in Chemistry Education together for a networking event. Attendees will be encouraged to "flock" to sub-groups with peers who share common interests. We hope this event will spark conversations that can continue through the rest of the week and beyond. We plan to hold a small raffle where prizes will include books donated from leading faculty in our field. Graduate students, postdocs, and pre-tenure faculty are invited to attend! Chemistry Education Research: Graduate Student Research Symposium Mon Aug 1, Tues Aug 2, and Wed Aug 3 with sessions starting at 8AM, 11AM, 2PM and 3:45PM. This 3-day symposium event will be held in WALC B058. We look forward to supporting graduate students as many present their work at a national conference for the first time. The goal of this particular forum is for the presenter to receive audience feedback that is neither intimidating nor overly-challenging, but instead, professionally advises the individual in a way that helps them grow into a better presenter and researcher. All are welcome to attend! Follow us on Twitter @ACS_ECCES for updates or our website https://bit.ly/3Pp3Ekz
