Dear Colleagues,
This is a call for abstracts for the symposium *Chemistry Education Research: Graduate Student Research Forum* which will take place this spring at the American Chemical Society National Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana, March 18-22, 2018.
This symposium has a long history of being a great platform for graduate students to present their work in a constructive environment. In this symposium, graduate students will present their work on any topic involving chemistry education research. Past iterations of this symposium have been very diverse with topics ranging from graduate student identity to faculty goals.
What makes this forum unique is that it is designed for the audience to provide feedback to presenters in a way that does not intimidate or overly-challenge the students. The feedback helps improve research methods and analytic techniques, while also professionally advising the students in a way that helps them grow into better presenters and researchers. This symposium is hosted by the Younger Chemistry Education Scholars committee of the Division of Chemical Education (DivCHED), which seeks to foster such growth in the future generation of chemical education researchers.
