First Virtual ChemEdX Conference

Hi everyone,

we'd like to invite the CER community to join this event: The first ChemEd X Conference: Chemistry Instruction for the Next Generation is a FREE virtual conference (May 8-27) intended to bring together chemistry education researchers and chemistry educators at the secondary and postsecondary level to address the implications of increasing the use of student-centered strategies. The conference is informal and intended to facilitate conversation to help bridge the gap between research and practice and help inform decisions as our community integrates student-centered strategies and improved chemistry education practice. The *Journal of Chemical Education* is sponsoring the conferences.

The six scheduled sessions run consecutively. Each is based upon a *JCE* article that will be freely available. The authors of those articles have included extra materials to augment their original work. Attendees can review the article and associated materials for two days and then the session will be open for conversation (24/7) for the next three days. Invited authors have committed to responding to questions and commentary in a timely manner during those three days.
