The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Arizona invites applications for non-tenure track teaching full time faculty positions at the rank of Instructor to teach mostly at the General Chemistry level. A Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Education, or a closely related field is required upon employment. Applicants must be committed to evidence-based teaching approaches as applied to large classrooms, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be willing to use instructional and web-based technologies. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with colleagues and be open to innovative curricula and student-centered teaching strategies are highly valued.
