Hello CER community! Please see the below recruitment message about participating in a study to define climate change acceptance in undergraduate science student populations.

As part of a NSF IUSE project investigating undergraduate student’s acceptance of climate change, we are looking for experts in the fields of biology, chemistry, or geosciences to participate in a survey about climate change acceptance. We are approaching you as an expert and want to get your ideas.
Within the last year, we have collected data from a scoping review of the literature and interviews with experts to help us identify important concepts related to undergraduate science students’ climate change acceptance. We were able to identify several key ideas that experts suggest are necessary for an undergraduate science students’ baseline acceptance of climate change. Additionally, our analyses revealed that climate change acceptance is complex, and may be multi-dimensional.
Now, we would like your help to:
- Refine a definition of climate change acceptance for undergraduate science students (i.e. biology, chemistry, geosciences).
- Review and provide feedback on the climate change acceptance dimensions we have identified.
What will you be asked to do? You will be asked to complete a survey through the online platform (Qualtrics) that should take no more than 10 to 20 minutes to complete. The survey includes five questions related to solidifying a core definition of climate change acceptance in undergraduate science students. Additional questions will request your feedback on our proposed dimensions of climate change acceptance. The final survey questions will ask about your background characteristics. You can complete the current survey even if you did not participate in previous rounds of the study.
