The STEP UP Project (www.stepupphysics.org) is looking to hire a postdoc/project manager at Florida International University.
Two research universities (FIU and Texas A&M Commerce) and two national organizations (AAPT and APS) lead the STEP UP project which focuses on mobilizing thousands of high school physics teachers around the country to support and inspire young women in physics. STEP UP resources and materials have been found to significantly improve all students’ attitudes towards learning physics (especially women) by disrupting stereotypic cultural narratives and creating communal classroom spaces.
