Dear Colleagues:
The Pazicni Lab (https://pazicnilab.chem.wisc.edu/) at the University of Wisconsin–Madison’s Department of Chemistry is seeking postdoctoral Research Associates in chemistry education. Review of application materials will begin immediately, and applications will be considered until positions are filled. These positions are renewable annually, contingent upon funding and/or satisfactory performance. We are looking for highly motivated and creative individuals who are interested in participating in projects related to language and learning chemistry, equity in the chemistry classroom, inorganic chemistry education, and/or student engagement with feedback. Specific research objectives and project management duties will be negotiated with each Research Associate.
Potential candidates should have a Ph.D. degree in chemistry, chemistry education research, learning sciences, or similar disciplines. Candidates with expertise in eye-tracking methodology, qualitative research methods, or spatial cognition are particularly encouraged to apply. Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; an ability to work productively in a collaborative environment; and a willingness to mentor junior members of a nascent academic research group are essential.
Applications should consist of a single .pdf file that includes: (1) a cover letter (1-2 pages) that highlights past research accomplishments and how this postdoctoral training experience will align with future research goals; (2) a curriculum vitae; and (3) names and email addresses of three references. This .pdf file may be submitted to me via email (sam.pazicni@chem.wisc.edu
Cheers,
SP
