Society for the Advancement of Biology Education Research - Managing Director position and application

Dear colleagues,
We are very excited to announce that the Society for the Advancement of Biology Education Research (SABER) will be hiring our first staff member, a managing director who will be responsible for the administration and operations of our organization. SABER currently has 10 committees and nine SIGs. Participation at our annual national meetings has grown to over 400 people in person in 2019 and almost 800 virtual attendees in 2021, and the SABER West regional meeting has attracted over 300 participants in recent years. The successful candidate for the new managing director position is expected to develop a deep knowledge of all SABER programs, committees, operations, bylaws, and policies and procedures. Key duty areas include planning and coordination, leadership and management, communications, and SABER governance. The successful candidate will work remotely but the position includes some travel.
