A subgroup of the Western States Chemistry Education Group (WSCEG) has developed a set of 3 short-answer feedback items about student experiences during the COVID pandemic, targeting: (A) challenges they experienced; (B) course attributes that supported their learning; (C) the impact on their sense of belonging.
These items are designed to be easy to incorporate into existing feedback surveys or evaluation forms. The primary goal of these items is to facilitate feedback to individual instructors. A secondary goal is that a coordinated set of items used across several institutions may one day be useful common ground for examining COVID impacts after the fact.
