Summer Workshop about Chemistry, Life, the Universe and Everything (CLUE)

Dear Colleagues  

Melanie Cooper and Sonia Underwood will be hosting a workshop on the General Chemistry curriculum – Chemistry, Life, the Universe and Everything (CLUE) this summer (June 23-25, 2025) at Michigan State University. 

We are inviting applications to participate, both from those who have previously taught CLUE and from instructors interested in adopting or adapting  it in the near future. Topics to be discussed include:

  1. The design of CLUE and the evidence to support its implementation.
  2. Three-Dimensional Learning (3DL) as a framework for knowledge in use.
  3. beSocratic as a powerful formative assessment system, and the affordances of AI for both students and instructors.
  4. Next steps on ways to implement at your own institution

Your travel to Michigan and accommodation will be covered.
