Two exciting opportunities at Mount Royal University (MRU) are currently
accepting applications.
1)*Tenure Track Position in Chemistry*
The Department of Chemistry and Physics has a tenure track opening for an
assistant professor in the area of analytical chemistry. As a medium-sized
primarily undergraduate public university, faculty at MRU engage in
scholarly teaching practices and supervise undergraduate research teams.
Candidates will submit a scholarship plan that is meaningful and
appropriate to an undergraduate institution where teaching is the primary
focus. The scholarship program may be discipline-focused and/or in the area
of *chemistry education research*, but should involve undergraduate
students in a substantive way.

2) *Postdoctoral Fellowship (PDF) in Scholarship of Teaching and Learning*
The Mokakiiks Centre for Scholarship of Teaching & Learning (SoTL) at MRU
has an opening for a postdoctoral fellow. Applicants should be a recent PhD
in SoTL, Education, or a related field such as *Chemistry Education
Research*. The position is for 1 year with possible extension.
The PDF will engage in research, support and co-facilitate the faculty SoTL
training program, collaborate with our Canada Research Chair on a
*students-as-partners* program, and participate in the Centre's
organization of the 10th annual Banff SoTL Symposium. There is also the
possibility for the PDF to teach one course each year.
