Hi All,
The links in the post sent on friday, did not show up via email, but are visible if you go to the webpage. To make it easier, and as a reminder that the events start today, Olivia and I are resending with the links easier to access.
Best,
Cindy

The Younger Chemistry Education Scholars (YCES) Committee is a subcommittee of DivCHED and we are committed to fostering professional development and networking opportunities for early career scholars in CER. This includes undergraduate and graduate students, post-docs, and early career faculty who have been trained in CER and folks who are interested in becoming involved in the CER community. We recognize that COVID-19 may have many early scholars feeling isolated without in-person conferences to network with other peers. We hope to provide multiple spaces for professional development and networking during the upcoming virtual ACS meeting. Please see the following information regarding these upcoming virtual events! We are asking that folks register for each evet, but all are welcome and can register at any time. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the Zoom events.
“Lunchtime” Social Events
These events are designed for anyone (undergraduates, grad students, post-docs, and faculty) to share any thoughts from talks they have heard and/or are interested in meeting and visiting with other CER scholars. This is intended to be flexible and meet the needs of that day’s attendees. We can use breakout rooms depending on what folks want to do that day.

This event is designed for anyone (undergraduates, grad students, post-docs, and faculty) interested in socializing with peers. We will have 2 or 3 breakout sessions running virtual Jackbox games and anyone is welcome to participate or just watch and enjoy. We can also form breakout rooms for anyone who would like to have available spaces to socialize.
Asynchronous Networking
We recognize that attending virtual events at specific times can be challenging for folks across different time zones and personal schedules. To help folks connect asynchronously, we have made a Padlet for folks to use to connect. Join the YCES Padlet page here - https://bit.ly/2Pnh9aQ
