Dear colleagues,
The Chemistry department at the University of Wisconsin – Madison is searching for a new director for our outreach program. This individual will work with departmental and community stakeholders to create and enact programs that support the use of chemistry knowledge in daily life. We anticipate that outreach programming will include initiatives meant to build the capacity of K-16 chemistry educators as well as initiatives meant to directly engage the community in using chemistry knowledge to advance personal or professional priorities. This is a new position and whoever is hired will have substantial latitude to pursue their outreach vision, in collaboration with the department.
Individuals with experience and expertise in science education, science and technology studies, chemistry education or a related field are encouraged to apply. Preferred qualifications include an advanced degree in one of the aforementioned fields, and experience designing and enacting high school or college learning environments. More details on this position, and a link to apply, can be found here: https://jobs.wisc.edu/jobs/chemistry-outreach-manager-madison-wisconsin-united-states
I am happy to answer questions about the position, Madison, our department, etc.
Kind regards,
Ryan
