Chemistry lecture and teaching postdoc positions at Yale

My name is Dr. Aaron Clark and I am the current organic chemistry preceptor
(teaching postdoc) here at Yale. My term at the position is ending but they
are wanting to hire more Chem Ed PhDs to fill my position and a similar one
for gen chem.

*Position Description*

The Department of Chemistry at Yale University (New Haven, CT) invites
applications for two (2) Preceptor positions (
https://chem.yale.edu/preceptorships-chemistry). One position will focus on
General Chemistry lecture and lab and the other on Organic Chemistry
lecture and lab. Preceptors are recent chemistry Ph.D. graduates interested
in developing their career as a chemical educator. Preceptors participate
in undergraduate teaching, with specific responsibilities that may include
guiding discussion and laboratory sections, assisting instructors of record
to design and deliver course content and assessment tasks, contributing to
the training of graduate-student teaching assistants, participating in the
development of new laboratory modules, conducting regular review sessions,
and grading. Preceptors gain the professional skills required for a career
in chemical education by working closely with faculty members. Preceptors
are encouraged to further pursue their professional development through the
Poorvu Center for Teaching and Learning (https://poorvucenter.yale.edu/),
and to avail themselves of opportunities to participate in research in
education. The positions will begin on August 1, 2023, and initially will
be offered for a one (1) academic year term, renewable for up to three (3)
years based on performance

*Qualifications*

Ph.D. or equivalent degree in Chemistry or a related field at the time of
hire.
