Quantiative Reasoning Conference in January

Dear Colleagues,

Registration ($100 for faculty/postdocs/staff; $75 for students) is now open for our conference on advancing research on quantitative reasoning (QR) in STEM education! The conference brings together folks from all STEM fields to wrestle with quantitative reasoning within and across disciplines. The meeting is organized with support from SABER as well as Chapman University’s Office of the Provost and Colleges of Science and Education and is immediately adjacent to SABER West 2026, so that you can attend the conference on research on QR (January 15-16) and SABER West (January 17-18) in one trip to the Irvine/Orange area. We have a fantastic lineup of plenary speakers, including Marcy Towns (chem ed), Anita Schuchardt (bio ed), and Lindsey Richland (math ed).

Our conference will be capped at 150 registrants, so we encourage you to register now to secure your spot! Registration includes four meals across two days. Please visit our website to register  and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!

We hope to see you soon!

Dan Dries (Chapman University), on behalf of the conference planning team (Tara Barnhart, Sonja Cwik, Dan Dries, Doug Havard, Nicol Howard, and Jeremy Hsu)
