The Department of Chemistry and Physics at Mount Royal University invites applications for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor. The successful candidate will be an important part of our efforts in implementing an Analytical Biochemistry concentration within our new B.Sc. in Chemistry degree. The successful candidate is expected to make significant contributions to the teaching of biochemistry, analytical chemistry, and/or organic chemistry courses.
In addition to a passion for teaching, the candidate is also expected to have a research/scholarship program that is appropriate to an undergraduate institution where teaching is the primary focus. The research/scholarship program could be discipline-focused research and/or in the area of the Scholarship of Teaching and Learning (SoTL) / Chemistry Education Research (CER).
This is an excellent opportunity for CER researchers to join an undergraduate university that emphasizes discipline-based educational research and SoTL. MRU faculty are providing national and international leadership on educational research within and across disciplines.
