General Chemistry Instructional Innovator at UW-Madison

Greetings, everyone. UW-Madison Chemistry is looking to hire a full-time instructional/instructional design professional to serve as our General Chemistry Instructional Innovator. While this is not a CER position per se, I believe it to be an excellent opportunity for someone wishing to apply their CER skills in an applied environment.

The General Chemistry Instructional Innovator will teach and provide pedagogical and logistical support for the General Chemistry program, which serves more than 5000 students per semester. This incumbent will teach one lecture section of General Chemistry per academic year, as well as facilitate, operationalize, and maintain redesigned curriculum, integrate appropriate assessment practices and teaching approaches, and support the General Chemistry instructional team in innovating with active learning throughout curriculum, in whole class, laboratory, and discussion sections.

Further details can be found here: https://jobs.hr.wisc.edu/en-us/job/505149/general-chemistry-instructiona....

Ideally, the position would begin by Fall 2020; however, there may be flexibility. We tend to work with the top candidate as much as possible on the start date. Other questions regarding this position can be addressed by our Human Resource Specialist, Char Horsfall (chorsfall@wisc.edu).

Best wishes,

Sam
