Position Summary:
The Department of Chemistry at the University of Alaska Anchorage (UAA) invites applications for a term, bipartite, Assistant Professor of Chemistry position starting August 2021. UAA Chemistry seeks candidates whose professional interests combine a pursuit of excellence in classroom instruction, use of high impact educational methods, and enthusiasm to engage a diverse student population. Duties:
The Department of Chemistry at the University of Alaska Anchorage is seeking a doctoral-level Chemist to fill a non tenure track bipartite (teaching + service) Assistant Professor position. The contract is 9 month, with the opportunity to renew. The successful applicant will be responsible for delivering 100-level chemistry courses and delivering upper division chemistry lecture and laboratory courses. Preference will be given to applicants comfortable lecturing in General and Organic chemistry laboratory.
Qualifications:
A terminal degree in the field, such as a Ph.D., is highly preferred. Specialization in a sub-discipline of Organic Chemistry is preferred.
