The Department of Chemistry at the University of Alabama at Birmingham is excited to announce a new Instructional Laboratory Coordinator position.
The Instructional Laboratory Coordinator is a full-time staff position that will provide coordination and support for the ongoing needs in the Department of Chemistry within the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) for the following undergraduate laboratory course sequences: Introductory Chemistry, General Chemistry, and Honors General Chemistry. With supervision from course Coordinators, the main responsibilities will include: providing technical and administrative support for teaching selected course laboratories; preparing instructional materials for weekly laboratory sessions; teaching selected laboratories; submitting student lab grades to course instructors; and coordinating graduate and undergraduate teaching assistants for selected laboratories.
