San José State's Department of Chemistry is seeking applicants for a tenure track position in Organic Chemistry.
The required qualifications:
- Ph.D. in organic chemistry or equivalent doctoral work. Alternatively, a Ph.D. in chemical education with a focus in organic chemistry research and significant experience working in an organic lab.
- Research in organic chemistry or in an area that interfaces with organic chemistry including educational research. - Applicants should demonstrate an awareness of and sensitivity to the educational goals of a socially and economically diverse student population as might have been gained in cross-cultural study, training, teaching, and other comparable experience.

This is very exciting for me as my appointment is joint between chemistry and science education but this appointment is fully through chemistry.
