Assistant Professor in Chemical Education Position at UNC Greensboro

The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at UNC Greensboro is looking to hire a tenure track assistant professor in the area of Chemical Education starting in August 2019. The preferred candidates are expected to have a Ph.D. in chemical education, chemistry, biochemistry, or related area.  The department has a strong emphasis on teaching and provides an exciting environment for chemical education research.  UNCG has a dynamic STEM education network known as RISE (Research and Instruction in STEM Education).  There are productive collaborations between the science departments in the College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Education.  We seek to foster these interactions as well as to enhance the success of the students who are learning chemistry at UNCG by building our strength in chemical education.  

UNC Greensboro is one of the sixteen campuses of the UNC system and has an enrollment of about 20,000 students.  The department provides a warm, supportive, and collaborative environment for professional work and for teaching.  We offer degree programs at the Bachelors, Masters, and Ph.D. levels.
