Biochemistry and Analytical Faculty Positions at UA Little Rock

Dear ChemEd Community,

We at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock are hiring a biochemist and analytical chemist to join our forward-thinking and vibrant community. These two assistant professors will be joining a R2 institution where we have a large emphasis on supporting faculty development both in research and evidence-based teaching. We have an active Learning Assistant program, many opportunities to join communities of practice and over half of the faculty at our institution have completed the week-long summer institute on scientific teaching.

Apply for the 2026 Chem Lab Curriculum (CLC) Innovators Program

We invite your institution to apply for the 2026 Chemistry Laboratory Curriculum (CLC) Innovators Program. Selected applicant institutions will each send a team of 3-4 people to join our community of practice. Each institutional team will consist of 2-3 instructors (full-time professors, instructors, lecturers, etc.) and 1 student worker (a graduate or undergraduate student) who will develop a new inquiry-based laboratory module during the 2026 CLC Summer Institute and implement their new module at their institution during the academic year.

DivCHED CER Committee - Call for Symposium Organizers and Presiders

Dear colleagues,

The Chemical Education Research Committee (CERC, a standing committee of the ACS Division of Chemical Education) sponsors several symposia every year. As part of a strategic effort to expand participation in DivCHED within our ongoing activities, we would like to open a call for symposium organizers for 2026 – 2027. Experienced organizers and presiders are welcome, but early career scholars (such as graduate students and postdocs) and chemistry educators interested in greater DivCHED participation are especially encouraged to volunteer.
