This conference is an excellent opportunity for CER folks to meet with, learn from, and share their research with scholars in another area of DBER. This summer also marks the debut of the SABER virtual conference day held June 25.

Such a paper might add nuance to how you think about the assets students bring to the classroom, or suggest large-scale policy changes that are needed to cultivate more equitable chemistry learning spaces. We’re hiring an Assistant Teaching Professor to start in August 2026. This is a full-time position with responsibilities in teaching, service, and professional engagement. Teaching faculty are non-tenure track, receive renewable 3-year contracts, have opportunities for promotion similar to TT faculty, and generally become long-term members of the department.

We seek candidates with a Ph.D. in Chemistry who demonstrate strong commitment to teaching undergraduate laboratory and lecture courses and a strong interest in pedagogy. The successful candidate must hold a PhD by the time of appointment. Salary is competitive and commensurate with rank.
