We are biology education researchers from Arizona State University conducting a study to better understand the experiences of undergraduates with depression in active learning college science courses. Given that so many of our students struggle with mental health, we hope to ultimately create more inclusive science classrooms for these students.

Postdoc opportunity in STEM education research

We seek a post-doctoral fellow to join our team on an NSF-funded collaborative research project that aims to help students develop professional skills in their STEM classrooms by designing and implementing a scalable digital platform, SkillBuilder, based on existing ELIPSS skill rubrics (ELIPSS.com). The SkillBuilder web application will be used in classroom assessment efforts to provide students with actionable and scalable feedback on transferable skill development including critical thinking, communication, teamwork, and problem solving.
