Yesterday was my last day at Miami University, and beginning next Tuesday, June 20, I will serve as Dean for The Getty College of Arts & Sciences at Ohio Northern University in Ada, OH.

The New Horizons Governor's School for Science and Technology in Hampton
Virginia is seeking an instructor to teach college-level chemistry to
gifted high school students. This role requires at least a Master's in
chemistry, two years of secondary or post-secondary teaching experience,
and licensure to teach (or eligibility for licensure) in the Commonwealth
of Virginia.

Applications are invited for two HHMI funded post-doctoral positions to contribute to a study of institutional capacity to support inclusive first-year STEM experiences and promote dissemination of effective inclusive teaching models and practices. The successful candidates will conduct research activities under the direction of the senior personnel on research projects focused on making first-year and introductory STEM courses more inclusive through projects centered around three themes:

This summer, the National Institute on Scientific Teaching will host Addressing Challenges in Teaching (ACT), the third annual online small group learning event in the Solve My Problem (SMP) series. We invite you to join us as we form new communities to address common challenges in undergraduate education such as academic supports for students, building meaningful groupwork, and exploring novel grading strategies. Educators at all stages of their academic career are welcome to join us as we meet new colleagues while we explore, reflect upon, learn, and deepen our teaching practices.
