Social Media Science Communications Feature Opportunities
There are several organizations that feature women in STEM to show the different faces and work that STEM encompasses. I would love to see more ChemEd folks there!

The Biennial Conference on Chemical Education (BCCE 2020) was cancelled this July; however, there is interest in an ACS eBook about Effective Practices in Teaching Chemistry Online. We would like others to consider contributing a short chapter for the eBook. First drafts are not due until February 15 and chapters are written as a short paper (topics could include a model for assessing engagement in online chemistry, a model for engaging students, what worked/didn't work, tools used in teaching chemistry online, online labs, and much more).
My UW colleague Matt Bush suggested the podcast episode below about
teaching with Zoom. Thought I'd pass it on!

I wanted to share an awesome podcast episode focused on active/interactive
pedagogies in Zoom. So many great/actionable ideas!
Copied text and link from an email the ACS Bridge Project sent me in case anyone is interested! See below!

There's still time to submit your proposal to join the ACS Bridge Progam as an ACS Bridge Site. Don't miss out on the chance to help empower the next generation of underrepresented minority (URM) chemists.
The DEADLINE to apply is Tuesday, September 1!
Dear Colleagues,
My UW colleague Samantha Robinson discovered a cool feature that's
available in Powerpoint 365 and 2019: rotatable 3D structures of
molecules can be inserted into the slides and animated. Per Samantha:
Dear colleagues:
Hope everyone is safe and healthy. Please see below for a postdoctoral position opening at Univerersity of Illinois at Chicago and share it with individuals who might be interested in applying.
Best,
