The Department of Chemistry at the University of Virginia invites applications for Postdoctoral Research Associates in Discipline-Based Education Research under the direction of Dr. Marilyne Stains (https://sites.google.com/view/marilynestains/home). The successful candidate(s) will analyze data collected as part of large research projects previously funded by NSF. It is also anticipated that the candidate will work collaboratively with other entities on campus such as the Center for Teaching Excellence.

This is a call for abstracts from both practitioners and researchers for the symposium Writing to Promote Learning and Disciplinary Thinking in Chemistry, which will take place this summer at the 2022 Biennial Conference on Chemical Education (BCCE) at Purdue University (West Lafayette, Indiana) from July 31st-August 4th. Abstracts must be submitted by February 28th, 2022 for full consideration ( https://www.bcce2022.org/abstracts).

Teaching Assistant Professor Position at UNC Chapel Hill

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is searching for a Teaching Assistant Professor. This position can start as early as July. This position is envisioned as a long-term appointment for an innovative teacher, with an initial appointment term of four years. Teaching responsibilities will include General Chemistry and General Chemistry Labs (CHEM 101/102 and 101L/102L), and one or more of Inorganic Chemistry (CHEM 251) and/or Biochemistry (CHEM 430). Qualified applicants will have expertise in teaching large enrollment courses.
