Assistant Teaching Professor - Chemistry at Villanova University

 

We’re hiring an Assistant Teaching Professor to start in August 2026. This is a full-time position with responsibilities in teaching, service, and professional engagement. Teaching faculty are non-tenure track, receive renewable 3-year contracts, have opportunities for promotion similar to TT faculty, and generally become long-term members of the department.

The Department of Chemistry at Emory University invites applications for a teaching-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Teaching Professor starting in the Fall 2026 semester. We seek candidates with a Ph.D. in Chemistry who demonstrate strong commitment to teaching undergraduate laboratory and lecture courses and a strong interest in pedagogy. The successful candidate must hold a PhD by the time of appointment. Salary is competitive and commensurate with rank.

We at the University of Arkansas at Little Rock are hiring a biochemist and analytical chemist to join our forward-thinking and vibrant community. These two assistant professors will be joining a R2 institution where we have a large emphasis on supporting faculty development both in research and evidence-based teaching. We have an active Learning Assistant program, many opportunities to join communities of practice and over half of the faculty at our institution have completed the week-long summer institute on scientific teaching. 

 

Apply for the 2026 Chem Lab Curriculum (CLC) Innovators Program

We invite your institution to apply for the 2026 Chemistry Laboratory Curriculum (CLC) Innovators Program. Selected applicant institutions will each send a team of 3-4 people to join our community of practice. Each institutional team will consist of 2-3 instructors (full-time professors, instructors, lecturers, etc.) and 1 student worker (a graduate or undergraduate student) who will develop a new inquiry-based laboratory module during the 2026 CLC Summer Institute and implement their new module at their institution during the academic year.
