Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce the launch of the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Discipline Based Education Research Alliance (DBER-All) international webinar series. DBER-All is a collaborative, cross-disciplinary community of researchers engaged in Discipline-Based Education Research (DBER) across the STEM fields.
We are entering the fourth year of our REU program on STEM education research at UC San Diego led by Melinda Owens and myself (VERSA). Please share the following announcement with students who might be interested. Thank you!
Hi everyone,
The Society for the Advancement of Biology Education Research (SABER) will be holding their 2026 annual meeting July 9-12 in a *new* location: Michigan State University! This conference is an excellent opportunity for CER folks to meet with, learn from, and share their research with scholars in another area of DBER. This summer also marks the debut of the SABER virtual conference day held June 25.
Hi Chemistry Education Community,
Have you read a chemistry education research paper in the last year that changed how you think about research or practice? Such a paper might add nuance to how you think about the assets students bring to the classroom, or suggest large-scale policy changes that are needed to cultivate more equitable chemistry learning spaces. If you can think of a landmark paper in our field that was published in the last two years, please suggest it for inclusion in the New and Noteworthy Symposium!
