Good evening, Just a friendly reminder that priority will be given to applications for the 2017 Chemistry Education Research (CER) Graduate Student & Post-doc Professional Development Conference that are received by 11:59 pm PST on Monday, April 10, 2017. Details on the conference on how to apply can be found below. Please note that grad students and post-docs who attended the 2013 Conference are welcome to apply for the 2017 Conference.

New and Noteworthy Symposium

Please join us on Sunday morning in San Francisco for the Chemistry Education Research: New and Noteworthy in 2015 - 2016 symposium where we will highlight four (4) exemplary papers published in the last year.

This symposium is designed to engage the community in discussion of the New and Noteworthy work with a 20 minute presentation, followed by 20 minutes of discussion. The session will be on Sunday morning, beginning at 8:30 am, in the San Francisco Marriott Marquis, Nob Hill A.

Putting CER into Practice Symposium at the ACS fall meeting in DC

Jessie and I would like to encourage everyone who has done research that has directly impacted practice or those who have used the results of chemistry education research to change their practice to submit an abstract for the Fall ACS meeting - or even better partner up and submit a pair of talks with one highlighting the research and one highlighting the practice. The deadline is coming up quickly - Monday, March 27.
