Hello, Could you please post the following on the CER listserv? Thank you! The Department of Chemistry at the University of British Columbia invites applications for the position of Chemistry Education Specialist (CES). This position is part time (50%) at the M&P educational programming level B. The successful applicant will join a team of faculty, staff, and students developing an innovative pedagogical method and online tool for improving students' discipline-specific decision-making skills through scenario-based learning.
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of Arizona invites applications for non-tenure track teaching full time faculty positions at the rank of Instructor to teach mostly at the General Chemistry level. A Ph.D. in Chemistry, Chemical Education, or a closely related field is required upon employment. Applicants must be committed to evidence-based teaching approaches as applied to large classrooms, possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be willing to use instructional and web-based technologies.

Registration is now open for the 2017 Regional Learning Assistant Workshops! The Learning Assistant (LA) model is a highly supported peer teaching experience that has been shown to improve students' learning and attitudes towards science in undergraduate courses. It is also an effective tool for recruiting talented science and math students into teaching careers. Over 80 institutions are currently implementing an LA Program.
